Design Capabilities

Robert Marshall & Associates, incorporated in 1982, is involved in the design and development of electronic product from inception through production. The design group expertise spans the areas of digital control systems, rf technology, mechanical design and packaging.

Areas of Expertise

Areas of expertise include multi-processor, multi-tasking embedded controller design over many years of extensive development experience utilizing National COP series microcontrollers, Atmel AVR-series microcontrollers, Atmel CPLDs, Microchip micro-controllers from the 8-bit, 16-bit and dsPIC families, KEELOQ security, rf, analog and digital circuit design, pcb layout, and mechanical design and preparation for production.

Applications

Applications areas include the 12-volt automotive industry, cellular and pager technologies, biomedical and utility systems, industrial and security controls, motion controls, specialty printers and scanners as well as sensor technology and remotely controlled systems.

Firmware development is in ‘C’ unless assembly language is specifically requested or needed due to timing constraints.  Schematic capture is in one of several capture programs such as PCAD or PADS-Logic.
